I saw someone touch a 1000 microfarad capacitor to the frame of a tattoo machine, and I had to play with the concept. I’ve been building and repairing machines for myself since I started tattooing, but I had always felt like the world needed another machine builder about as much as it needed another tattoo shop. After I made a working switch machine, my bud Dave Tedder managed to avail me of the idea that I would be bummed if someone else brought a switched capacitance coil machine to market, so here I am… a machine builder. I’m autistically (diagnosed) particular about how my machine runs, and all the feedback I’ve received is that translates into stuff I build working pretty smoothly.
